P e r s o n a l i t y

Loyal (+): Though Theta only gives her trust to a selected few, if you've earned it from her, you can expect that she will be faithful. She doesn't go back on the promises she makes, and she'll do everything in her power to make sure those she cares about stay safe. Above all, she loves her family with her whole self, and often her most loving and gentle side is seen when she's around them.
Determined (+): Theta is one egg that's tough to crack. Her feisty and stubborn nature will make her a force to be reckoned with. Theta hates losing, and she won't give up anything without a fight. This is a majority of the reason that she prefers to run into danger instead of away from it. Her determination sets her apart from most other dogs like her. Once she's got an idea in her head you can be sure she'll pursue her goals until she's reached them!
Brave (+): One of Theta's best qualities is her ability to set her fear aside and charge right into things. While it also makes her reckless, Theta is driven by her desire to conquer all her fears. So if she's presented with a situation where action is needed, she won't hesitate to dive in head first. This gives her a unique advantage in bad times, and it's something that'll more than likely save her life.
Confident (+): Above all, Theta is confident. She exudes confidence in everything she does, and she's not ashamed of much. She takes pride in the things she does and puts her all into everything she's involved in. While this can make her seem cocky at times, it's what allows Theta the luxury of being able to accept herself even with her flaws. And it is also why she finds it so easy to talk to others (and cause mayhem without the fear of getting caught).
Daredevil (+/-): Theta is a thrill seeker, and loves the rush of adrenaline that comes with doing things she knows or feels (depending on her disorder) are dangerous. It's what drives her to try and get over her fears, if for no other reason than the thrill of victory. Her favorite activity is dancing with trouble, and this is a double edged sword, because it's the root of both her bravery and her recklessness.
Reckless (-): In spite of Theta's best intentions, her tendency to rush into things is the very thing that puts her life at risk. She does things without thinking them through and though she is lucky that many of these things turn out in her favor, other times they do not and she suffers the consequences for it. Theta can also say things without really meaning them when her temper gets the best of her, and her stubbornness makes it very difficult for her to apologize or take things back. What's done is done.
Rebellious (-): Because of her fun-loving nature, Theta hates to be tied down and told what to do. She finds it extremely difficult to take orders from others unless it's from a true authority figure or in special circumstances (and she only learns this through discipline later on in her life). Even still, she'll always have that urge in the back of her mind to do the exact opposite of what she's been told. This trait largely stems from her sense of pride, as she hates feeling inferior to others and will act out to prove she can't be controlled.
Impish (-): Theta loves to joke around and cause mischief if she can, and this is especially prevalent when she is younger and does not completely comprehend her disorder (and consequently loves having a go at dogs whose scents irritate or disgust her). She also loves to laugh, and the easiest way to do so (at least in her mind) is to play a little harmless prank every now and then. Her favorite targets as she grows older are her siblings, and though they can annoy each other, at the end of the day she does love them dearly and it's all in good fun.
Impatient (-): Her high energy and impulsive personality make Theta a very impatient pup. She hates waiting around for anything, and has a very strong love of immediate gratification. Theta loves to be apart of the action and doing something almost all the time, so sitting around doing nothing does not appeal to her much. She'll rarely laze around unless she's either tired herself earlier that day or seems to be in a cuddling sort of mood (which is extremely rare unless you're apart of her family).

Theta's world revolves around the fact that she has synesthesia, a disorder that appears to have no widely accepted origin and involves intermingling of the senses. In Theta's case, it causes her to "see" the things she smells as colors. And depending on what color she sees upon coming into contact with the scent, it will determine how she initially feels about said object or creature the scent belongs to. Keep in mind, however, that just because a scent makes her feel a certain way, it does not always determine how she feels about another dog. This is just how their scent makes her feel (and therefore, her initial reaction to them). When it comes to other dogs, though she'll associate whatever she feels when she smells them with that character, her opinion of them is definitely subject to change. She'll always have those feelings (unless their scent happens to change due to hormones, other causes, etc), but eventually she may be able to disassociate the dog's personality and character from their scent, changing somewhat how she acts around them over time.

RED: Seeing the color red fills Theta with excitement and makes her feel confident and energized. She'll more than likely love being around red scents, as she's a shameless adrenaline junkie.
ORANGE: Her least favorite color is orange, because it makes her feel very uncomfortable. If she associates your scent with it, there's a high likelihood that she'll act strangely around you. Fear, she can handle. Awkwardness? Not so much.
YELLOW: Yellow resembles stress for Theta, and scents that are yellow make her feel nervous and unsafe. She sometimes may even panic. Yellow also can represent her impatient nature. It's all dependent on the situation.
GREEN: Green tends to bring out Theta's temper, as it irritates her to no end. The darker the green, the greater her anger. If you have the misfortune of your scent looking green to her, beware. She does have a mischievous nature... And she won't hesitate to use it against you!
BLUE: If the scent brings blue to mind, then chances are Theta will be interested in it. Blue scents tend to make Theta happy and friendly, though they are somewhat rare to find. Chances are that someone with a blue scent would be able to quell Theta's rebellious tendencies every once in a while. The darker the blue, the deeper her contentment is. The lighter the blue, the more elated she'll feel.
PINK: Pink makes Theta feel slightly confused. She's not entirely sure how to feel about scents that look pink, as the sensation eventually makes her feel tired and groggy.
PURPLE: Purple is a very cuddly color to Theta, and it brings out her affectionate side. If a dog's scent is purple, she'll more than likely love snuggling with them as it is a very comforting color to her and makes her feel safe. Later on, when she is older, darker purples start to emerge, causing her to feel that those individuals are appealing. For now, however, her range of purple remains in the medium to light range.
BLACK: Fear. Pure and unbridled fear is what the color black brings out in Theta. Instead of running away from scents that give off this color, however, she runs straight towards them in an attempt to fight off her demons. A trait that is very dangerous.
GRAY: Gray usually makes Theta feel sad or upset in someway. The lighter the gray, the less it is sad. The darker the gray, the more miserable she'll feel.
WHITE: If a scent is white to Theta, she most likely won't feel anything for it. White tends to make her feel apathetic or bored, and consequently she won't really care much about it. Dogs whose scents are white usually either are uninteresting to Theta or have a chance to make an impression on her with their personality alone, as their scent is basically "numb" to her.
BROWN: This color makes Theta feel disgust. She usually avoids scents that she associates with brown, since she finds them gross and highly unappealing.

Notes:
*Has a disorder known as synesthesia (though of course, she is not aware of the name of it) which causes her to associate smells with colors. So upon meeting another dog, she'll immediately pair their scent with a color in her mind. Some colors scare her more than others, while others make her feel excited, etc.

"I was born with this limp. It is true that there are very few dogs born in the Wastelands in comparison to Eden. And there's a good reason for it. A majority of the dogs here are so far gone that the pups are dead upon seeing first light." He looked sad, as if remembering something but deciding not to say it. "If the radiation doesn't kill them, their parents probably will. Those of us that survive..." He trailed off, his leg seeming like a dead weight as his words clung to the infected air.
